BIBLE READING: MORNING: EZEKIEL 38,39. EVENING: 1 PETER 4
TOPIC: EQUAL OPPORTUNITY
TEXT: “And he said unto them, Ye know how that it is an unlawful thing for a man that is a Jew to keep company, or come unto one of another nation; but God hath shewed me that I should not call any man common or unclean.” Acts 10: 28.
God’s kingdom is a kingdom of equal opportunity. There are no special personalities in the kingdom. Our faith in God and our commitment to the kingdom are the major determinants of the blessings that flow from the kingdom to us. All of us have the opportunity to serve God wholeheartedly while others do same half-heartedly. But God says, he comes quickly to give each one his reward due to his works. (Revelation 22:12) What we do with the equal opportunities we have in the kingdom should be uppermost in our hearts.
God has opened the doors of blessings to many kingdom citizens but it is not everyone who appreciates that we are given kingdom wealth to service kingdom projects on earth instead of consuming all upon our lusts. We need to maximize our opportunities in the kingdom because faithfulness in each person’s assignment is the issue and not the size of the assignment. The more time you spend with God the more of Him you will get and the higher authority you become in the kingdom.
The three servants had equal opportunity to reproduce their talents 100 per cent but one decided to bury his own. (In Matthew 25:14-28). What are you doing with your opportunity in the kingdom? Think about it!
My Father, My Father, as I begin to pray, I will maximize every opportunity given to me to serve…
